The purpose of the Northwest Ohio Counseling Association shall be to advance the profession of counseling acting in accordance with the purpose and bylaws of the Ohio Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association.
Our community is open to all counselors who embrace the power of human potential. One condition of membership: you must be a member of the Ohio Counseling Association.

Northwest Ohio Counseling Association Awards
(To be presented at NWOCA’s Spring Workshop)
NWOCA Counselor of the Year is presented to a counselor who provides outstanding services to their clients, who models exemplary ethical and professional behavior, and who shows commitment and dedication to the counseling profession.
NWOCA Supervisor of the Year is presented to a counseling supervisor who has provided exceptional counseling supervision. This individual shows a commitment to the advancement of counseling supervision and also utilizes the supervision hour as a time for the supervisees growth and development as a professional counselor.
If you know of someone who meets these criteria, please consider nominating them for the NWOCA Counselor of the Year or Supervisor of the Year award. Please provide a short letter (maximum of 300 words) indicating why you believe your nominee should receive this award. Nominations must come from active NWOCA or OCA members. Nominees must be an active NWOCA or OCA member and should not be a previous recipient of the award. Letters of nomination should provide evidence that the nominee meets the criteria for the specified award.
